UCPNB's NEW Drop & Go CRV Recycling Program is the most convenient way to redeem your CRV deposit while also:
- Reducing the need for raw resource extraction
- Minimizing waste ending up in landfills
- Ensuring recyclability of materials by reducing contamination risk
How it Works

Create an account at recycletek.co (or via QR Code) using your name, phone number, email, and optional mailing address. Verify your account with both email & text message codes. Select California as the state.
Please note: if you do not enter a physical address, some payment options will not be available.

Pick up free EcoSack bags from one of our bag distribution locations, listed below.
Link the bags to your account by scanning the bag's QR Code. The entire roll of bags will be linked at once and you can have multiple rolls linked at once. You can see how many bags are linked to your account in your Recycletek account.

Fill bags with CRV eligible beverage containers, sorting by material type.
Please leave containers uncrushed, with the lids on.
Tie bags tightly! If items fall out of the bag, we have no way of knowing who they belong to & cannot issue a refund.

Use your bag's QR Code to unlock the door at the Drop & Go kiosk. Put one bag in & close the door; repeat for remaining bags.

That's it! You'll receive an email receipt within 72 business hours along with digital payment to your preferred payment method in your Recycletek EcoWallet.

Our FREE EcoSack bags come with a unique QR Code printed on the roll that help us identify who to send refunds to. The blue EcoSack bags are required to use the Drop & Go Pods because without them, we cannot identify the individual who dropped off which material.
No other bags are accepted and will not be paid.

Eligible Items
Payment Options
Refunds will be available in your Recycletek EcoWallet within 72 business hours of drop-off.
Bags are picked up & processed by UCPNB's employees daily, excluding Sunday & Monday.
When dropping off multiple bags, some bags may be refunded before others. This is normal and we kindly ask that you wait the full 72-business hour timeframe to see all refunds in your account.
After 72 hours, if you still do not see refunds for all bags dropped off, please contact us!
EcoCard Debit Card
A reloadable debit card that works just like any other debit card - funds can be withdrawn at ATMs or used directly at any retailer that accepts Mastercard.
Pick up an EcoCard at UCPNB's Administrative Office in Petaluma or contact us directly to request a card by mail.
Transfer fee: 1%
PayPal (Venmo coming soon!)
Transfer funds directly from your Recycletek EcoWallet to your PayPal account
Transfer fee: $0.25
Digital Check/ACH Bank Transfer
A check sent to your email address that can be transferred directly into your bank account or printed out to be deposited like a regular check.
Transfer fee: $1.00 check fees apply
*All transfer options come with associated transfer fees from the banks that cannot be avoided by UCPNB, Recycletek or CalRecycle, so make sure to read the terms of each redemption option carefully. Redemption options can be changed at any time through your Recycletek account.

Overages, Scrap & Contamination
All UCP Drop & Go CRV Pods are authorized to weigh and inspect the beverage containers at a different location than where the containers are delivered. All deliveries to the UCP Drop & Go CRV Pods are final.
Overage of daily limits will be counted as scrap
Scrap/overages will not be paid out
Refund is not paid for packaging, contamination such as dirt or moisture, or beverage containers not properly labeled with the California Redemption Value message, or that are otherwise ineligible for redemption
It is up to the operator's discretion whether materials are unacceptable based on high contamination or mixed material types. Highly contaminated or mixed bags will not be paid out.
You will receive an email from our team in the event that your containers have been rejected based on contamination or mixed materials explaining the issue. UCPNB reserves the right to terminate accounts based on multiple rejection infractions.
